The Paradox of Tar Heel Politics: The Personalities, Elections and Events that Shaped Modern North Carolina”

Rob Christensen has been writing about North Carolina politics as a reporter and a columnist for 36 years for The News and Observer. His work also appears in The Charlotte Observer. In 2008, his first solo book, “The Paradox of Tar Heel Politics: The Personalities, Elections and Events that Shaped Modern North Carolina” was published by UNC Press. The book, in its second printing, won the N.C. Literary and Historical Assocation’s Ragan Old North State Award Cup for the best work of non fiction in 2008.
